Implants
Dental implants are small titanium fixtures placed under the gum and serve as the “root” for teeth. They can be used to replace a single missing tooth or several missing teeth. After the “root” portion of the implant is completed, a porcelain crown is placed on top of the “root”. Unlike partials, dental implants are practically indistinguishable from your natural teeth. They are securely fitted so that they allow you to chew and speak without the worry of them moving. Healthy adjacent teeth are not touched so their strength and integrity are maintained.
Bridges
A dental bridge is a non-removable replacement of one or more missing teeth. Bridges are a custom fit restoration made of man made porcelain and are vital in protecting the balance of your biting and chewing motion. The bridge is permanently bonded to one tooth on each side of the missing tooth fully restoring the number of teeth that were originally in the area.
Partials
A partial denture is a removable appliance that replaces multiple missing teeth. In the past, all partials had to have metal clasps to hold them onto remaining teeth. Many times these clasps were visible when a person would talk or smile. With the latest advances in dentistry we are able to replace missing teeth without the use of metal clasps. Precision partials actually lock into place with a snap system built into adjacent teeth and the removable partial. This allows the partial to blend in with the existing teeth, making it undetectable.
Dentures
A denture is a removable appliance that replaces all upper or lower teeth. With precise impressions and measurements and attention to detail, we are able to create aesthetically pleasing, well fitting dentures. |
